Who I Help

We are all unique. I take a person-centered approach to counselling, meaning that I put you as a person, first. You will be actively involved in therapy as we collaborate on a plan of care, with you at its’ center. Therapy will be tailored to the distinct needs and goals of the individual, couple or family.

Individuals

Take that first step towards making meaningful change and overcoming barriers to personal growth.

Couples

I work with a diverse population of couples; same-sex, heterosexual, biracial, asexual, married, pre-marital, common-law as well as separated or divorced co-parenting couples.

How Does it Work?

“Don’t let the entire staircase overwhelm you. Just focus on that first step. One. Step. At. A. Time.”

Step 1:

Schedule your Free Consultation

It has been proven that the therapeutic alliance is a strong factor for successful therapy. The relationship is built on a foundation of comfort and trust. This means that you should be selective and find the right counsellor. I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to help answer any of your questions and to see if we are a good match.

Step 2:

We discuss it and create a plan

Once you are comfortable that working with each other is the right path forward, we will schedule an initial 60 minute session to help identify your needs and goals for therapy.

My Biography

My name is Andrea and I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (RP).

I am passionate about helping others. Whether you are on a path of self discovery, or you are struggling with your mental health, I am happy to work with anyone who is willing to ask for help.

“Just because you’re struggling, does NOT mean you’re failing. Every great success requires some kind of struggle to get there.” – Nicky Gumbel

I have been told that my approach is calm, compassionate and down to earth. I strive to create an environment that is free from judgement.

When I’m not at the office, you will find me spending time with my family, walking my dog, hiking, camping and snowboarding in the winter. I believe in giving back to my community, volunteering for various not-for-profit organizations here in Muskoka.
